Area Firefighters Battle Multiple Blazes, One Fatal
Officials battled overnight fires in Murrysville and North Homewood, and a two-alarm blaze claimed the life of a woman in South Fayette.
Firefighters in South Fayette are on the scene of a fire that broke out at 3 a.m. in the 100 block of Locust Street. One person has been pulled from the house and have been confirmed dead. Another resident was injured when he jumped from a second-story window to escape the flames.
Also around 3 a.m., firefighters from several companies battled a house fire on Marjorie Drive in Murrysville. There are no reports of injuries.
Firefighters were called to a house in the 7200 block of Bennet Street in North Homewood around 1 a.m. No one was injured in that fire.
