CBC 'Hockey Night' Voice, Jeff Marek Breaks Down Penguins/NHL
CBC "Hockey Night in Canada" radio play-by-play voice, Jeff Marek joined Vinnie and Cook on the Rivertowne Hotline Friday, following the Penguins 3-2 season opening loss to the Philadelphia Flyers.
Jeff gave us his thoughts on the opening night for the Pittsburgh Penguins in their new home, The Consol Energy Center. He tells us not to worry about one loss, because the Penguins still have one of the best rosters in the NHL and will need some time to gel with their new acquisitions of Paul Martin and Zbynek Michalek.
He also lets us know his thoughts on the NHL opening it's season in Europe, and the season-opening ceremonies in general from around the league. Finally, he gives us his picks for the Conference Finals, and who will win the Stanley Cup.
