Preseason Pitt Basketball Notes Of Interest

*NCAA-mandated practices begin for the Pitt men's team on Friday, Oct. 15, 2010.

*The Petersen Events Center will host an NBA Exhibition Game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs on Thursday, Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m. For credential and parking requests, please contact Tora Vinci at the Cleveland Cavaliers at TVinci@cavs.com.

*Big East Men's Basketball Media Day is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 20 at Madison Square Garden. The event begins at 10 a.m. at MSG's Grand Ballroom. Big East Women's Basketball Media Day is set for Thursday, Oct. 21 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, 237 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036. The event also begins at 10 a.m.

*Pitt will host its Blue-Gold Men's Basketball Scrimmage on Friday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Petersen Events Center. This will be the first opportunity for media and fans to view the 2010-11 Pitt men's basketball team.
