The Penguins racked up their first home win at the new Consol Energy Center. They defeated the New York Islanders 3-2, after an Alex Goligoski goal in overtime.

Mike Rupp scored the first goal early in the second period, followed by Eric Tangradi’s goal less than three minutes later.

The Penguins next game is Saturday night against the Philadelphia Flyers, the game time was changed from 7:00 to 6:00 due to the Philadelphia Phillies playoff game.
