Former Pitt Panther Lousaka Polite joined Joe Starkey today to discuss his time at Pitt, preview his game against the Steelers on Sunday, and talk about the NFL’s ruling on helmet-to-helmet hits.
Pitt was in quite the slump when Lousaka made his commitment to the program, but because of his recruiting class, things began to turn around, and he told us about the pride he takes in being part of the group that turned the Pitt program around.
Lousaka also told us about a couple of his teammates, Quarterback Chad Henne and Running Back Ricky Williams. On Henne, Lousaka said he is becoming quite the leader of their team and has really come into his own in his second year. Lousaka said about Ricky Williams that the two are close friends and he looks at Williams as a true professional that pours everything he has into his job.
Finally Lousaka helped us better understand the NFL’s ruling on head shots, and how it has the players best interest in mind by cutting back on the illegal hits.
