James Harrison’s Agent Speaks to Vinnie & Cook

On Tuesday, James Harrison flew to New York to meet with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. On Wednesday, Harrison’s agent Bill Parise joined Vinnie and Cook. Bill tells us the meeting was a productive one, says James now has a clearer understanding of which hits are legal and which are not, but also says Harrison’s playing style will not be affected. Bill tells us who he thinks called the meeting, and he admits that he would have appreciated having this meeting before the league started handing out fines.

    Holding James Harrison
is a sport of its own.
    I watch him each Sunday
    where ever he roams.
    That powerful manbeast
    blows through the line
    only to be held
    time after time.
    O-linemen always hold
    on that we agree
but a flag should be thrown
    when it’s holding first degree.
With an arm around his neck
    he strains at his prey.
    The zebras stand silent
    for most of the day.
    Occasionally it happens
    the terror breaks free.
    he takes his shot
    at a high priced QB.
    With bright colored hankies
    the air is besieged
    for James Harrison the manbeast

I am a firm believer that since James Harrison keeps getting these fines, the League Office needs to watch the films and also count the number of times he gets held each game. For each hold the refs miss, the league should pay Harrison back $1000 or so. Are the players the only ones accountable?????????
