Top 4 In BCS Standings Remain Unchanged
Two undefeated college football teams barely survived this weekend and the BCS standings are tighter as a result.
The new BCS rankings came out Sunday night and top four spots remain unchanged. However, Boise State is closing the gap on TCU.
Boise State ripped Idaho 52-14 this week, while TCU struggled against San Diego State. In the end, TCU was able to hold on for a 40-35 win.
TCU was also hurt by Utah's 28-3 loss to Notre Dame. Last week, TCU dominated the then No. 5 Utes 47-7.
Oregon (10-0) and Auburn (11-0) still remain in the top two spots in the standings.
The top-ranked Ducks escaped with a 15-13 against California on Saturday night. The Golden Bears had a chance to take the lead in the fourth quarter, but Giorgio Tavecchio missed a 29-yard field goal.
No. 2 Auburn struggled early against Georgia, but pulled away in the fourth quarter to win 49-31.
