Most Wanted Suspect Arrested In McCandless

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Another of Allegheny County's Most Wanted suspects was arrested Tuesday night in McCandless Township.

According to the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office, Jesse Maseth, 31, was wanted on four separate bench warrants for violating the terms of his parole.

Over the weekend, police released surveillance video that showed Maseth jump the counter and steal money from the cash register of a Lawrence County hotel.

Maseth was also wanted in connection with two recent burglaries in Carnegie and McCandless Township.

Tuesday night, sheriff's deputies worked with Carnegie and McCandless Police to arrest Maseth.

McCandless Police saw Maseth close to the scene of a burglary that happened earlier in the day. When Maseth saw police, he ran into the woods.

Sheriff's deputies and Carnegie Police were already following a person they believed would lead them to Maseth.

That person eventually picked up Maseth and drove to an apartment building in Carnegie.

Sheriff's deputies were already inside the building and arrested Maseth without incident when he entered.

Police were able to link him to the burglary earlier in the day due to the stolen items in his possession.

He is now being held in the Allegheny County Jail without bond.
