DA Meets With Police In Seven Fields Shooting

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Butler County's district attorney says he has some doubts concerning the story of a homicide suspect charged with killing his life-long friend.

Richard Goldinger met with Cranberry Township police on Monday to discuss the degree of charges against 18-year-old Eric Rutledge of Seven Fields.

He told police a shotgun accidentally went off killing 18-year-old Courtney Daily last Tuesday.

"The stories don't add up – that's for sure – so, I find his version of events very questionable," Goldinger said.

Police are still waiting for the autopsy report and ballistics tests.
