NORTH FAYETTE (KDKA) – Firefighters were able to get two people out of a burning home in North Fayette Monday morning.

The fire broke out around 2 a.m. in the 700-block of Gamble Drive. Firefighters were concerned because the initial call noted that there may be two people trapped inside.

There are no reported injuries and the fire may have started in the garage.

“We had a successful knockdown. Nobody hurt. All the occupants are fine and no firefighter injuries whatsoever,” Oakdale Fire Chief Steve Trusnovic said.

Crews are still working to assess the damage to the home and what may have caused the fire.
