Top Basketball Recruit Shakore Grant Committed To Duquesne

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) - Duquesne University has received a commitment from forward Shakore Grant, a 6-foot-7-inch forward who played last season at Newark High School in Delaware.

Grant recently transferred to Appoquinimink High in Middletown, Del. He is Duquesne's first recruit for the 2011-12 season.

Grant averaged 12 points last season on a balanced team. He is rated by several scouting services as being one of the top 70 power forwards among high school seniors.
