Rain No Match For Black Friday Warriors

By David Highfield

ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — Some shoppers are getting a very early start to Black Friday deals.

About 300 people were in line when the doors to the Toys “R” Us in Ross Township opened at 10 p.m. Thanksgiving night.

Dave Jack, from Allison Park, was first in line and had a tent set up to keep dry. He had been waiting since noon.

Josh Webb, from Ford City, planned on staying up all night, going from store to store. He said he would sleep “tomorrow, sometime in the afternoon.”

There are other stores opening early. Old Navy will open at midnight, Kohl’s at 3 a.m., Macy’s, JCPenney and Target at 4 a.m. and Best Buy at 5 a.m.

Also, both the Prime Outlets in Grove City and the Tanger Outlets in Washington County open at midnight.

It is extremely sad this is what the media chooses to focus on as a story kDKA included . They are glorifying these people who have complete lost touch of why we are supposed to be celebrating these holidays . People have died and been seriously injured over these “sales” . This is another instance where the government suould step in and prevent these business from opening at these hours . Happy holidays

we didn’t loose touch of thanksgiving. did that part and then went out shopping

    Stop glorifying these pigs.

Would like the government to change your kids diapers too. The people have their freedom to do what they want as for the shopping so far. Obama hasn`t taken over that part of the constitution yet, give him time. You do what you want and the others have the right to do what they want.

My point is that fighting over really really big tv is important enough to fight your neighbor and kill a walmart employee over . What is the correct number of arrests/deaths before someone should do something ? I really don’t see the point of bringing you political bias into it .
