Season Outcome May Pose Questions For Pitt

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Chris Peak, of Pantherlair.com, joined The Fan Morning Show Friday to preview the latest edition of the Backyard Brawl.

Peak knows the rumors are swirling that the coach that loses today may be out of work.

He expects Dave Wannstedt to be back, but if Pitt fails to win the next two games or fails to win the Big East, the questions surrounding the program will get louder.

He says the Panthers must get off to a fast start and the field conditions should work in their favor.

Bye, bye Dave. Send us a postcard……

Next time a coach is hired, please don’t bend to the wishes/demands of the alumni. Just go get a good coach.

  2. TOM says:

IT IS NOT JUST TIME, IT IS PAST TIME. GET RID OF THAT MAN!!!!!!! HE IS NOT WHAT PITT NEEDS. WE WOULD BE BETTER WITH STARTING OVER. HE HAS NOT DONE WELL ANYWHERE HE WAS. SEND HIM TO PENN STATE TO RELEAVE THAT SORRY EXCUSE FOR A HEAD COACH THAT EVERYONE SAYS NEEDS TO GO TOO. THEY CAN HAVE HIM 4 FREE. BRING BACK FOGE OR ANYONE. HOW WE EVER BEAT WVU 13-9 2 YRS AGO IS BEYOND ME. HE CAN NOT COACH AND DOES NOT PREPARE HIS TEAM WORTH SQUAT!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE GET HIM OUT!!!!!!!!! I AM SICK TO MY STOMACH.

  3. CHARLES BAUM says:

Wanny is not much of a coach. He hinders the entire program. Not much football savvy to be gained from him. Time to give him 5 gallons of gasoline and a road map and tell him to hat up.

  4. EYEBALL says:

I can’t wait for Villanova to join the BIG EAST in football. Maybe a team that Pitt can beat?? Also more football players from both teams than fans in the stands when Villanova plays home games. Where is Temple?? They should come back to the Big (ha) East.

This has been a very disappointing season. Why did Pitt commit at the beginning of the 2009 season to give the job to Sunseri and then fail to recruit a big time quarterback. Penn State brought in a freshman. Lots of teams do. No, because of his father and the family connections to Pgh we quit recruiting. He has had good and bad games but the thought that pitt just handed him that job and didn’t try others just makes me ill. Time for Coach Dave to move on.
