Gattuso: We Understand The Frustration

Pitt Panthers assistant head coach and defensive line coach Greg Gattuso joined the Fan Morning Show in his weekly spot after losing the Backyard Brawl to West Virginia at home last Friday. Gattuso spoke on how the team did not reach their ultimate goal of winning the Big East outright and going to a BCS Bowl, but there is still the chance of being co-champs.

With the Pitt players down and out after the game on Friday, the team is working to get themselves ready and bounce back against Cincinnati on Saturday. Gattuso said the tough season will build character for the younger players especially for Juniors heading into next season.

The coaching staff and the players knew they had a good team heading into the season, but also knew there were some situations that had to go exactly as planned, but those situations didn't work out that way.

Gattuso then previews the game ahead versus Cincinnati and what challenges the Pitt defense will face against the Cincinnati offense.

The Pitt fans are frustrated with the way this season has turned out after all the high expectations heading into the season and Greg Gattuso addresses those fans.

Gattuso, the coaches and the players understand that frustration and they believe their true fans are on board with what this team is trying to accomplish in winning games and championships.
