Steelers: Roethlisberger’s Foot Injury Not New

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — There are some conflicting reports about the severity of Ben Roethlisberger’s foot injury.

Despite previous reports, that the Steelers quarterback had sprained his foot, Steelers Insider Ed Bouchette with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette first reported on Thursday that the fifth metatarsal bone in Roethlisberger’s right foot is broken.

The Steelers, however, released a “clarification” of Bouchette’s report.

Steelers spokesman Dave Lockett released a statement late yesterday, saying that the problem with Roethlisberger’s foot isn’t new.

“Ben’s current injury is an aggravation of an old injury where scar tissue is present,” he said.

Roethlisberger is still expected to play in the Baltimore game Sunday night. He has been practicing this week with a special boot for his foot.

The man’s a “warrior” with probably more injuries than we know about but he sucks it up to remain the Leader of the Pittsburgh Steelers. This guy gives his all every time he steps on the field of battle !!!
Kudo’s to our leader !! THE STEELER NATION IS BEHIND YOU !

    1. Howard the Dumb says:

HA! A “warrior”? A warrior is a soldier/sailor/airman/Marine, not a football player who acts like a martyr by hobbling around and playing with a hurt foot.

      “Kudos” for being a dummy!

    2. Shockly says:

WOW, ask him to marry you before you go in the bathroom with him.

  2. john says:

  3. J.T. says:

Big Ben = tough as nails. The best QB in the NFL! Go #7, we support you 100%!!!!!!

  4. bob says:

Warrior? Never makes excuses? you guys are funny. Rothlisraper is always making excuses about some kind of injury. Just enjoy this beat down from the Ravens this Sunday Night!!

  5. ted says:

Wow, a sexual predator who can’t RUN AWAY!

    1. Anvil says:

      give it up already

      1. ted says:

Anvil wouldn’t be saying “give it up already” if it were his/her mother/sister/etc that Ben met.

      2. Sue says:

Our mothers, daughters, sisters, wouldn’t be in a bar at the age of 20, drunk, and even go back to the bathroom to see him.

  6. Kim says:

Ben will be the key to beating the Ravens, who haven’t swept the series against Pittsburgh since 2006! Sunday night the Steelers own the AFC North! Check out my weekly NFL wrap up blog at

  7. whiskey6 says:

they are a better team without him. check the stats the first 4 games he was suspended.

    1. Anvil says:

They were lucky to win 3 out of 4 games. If you believe the Steelers are better without Ben, then you don’t know much about football.

    2. Vader58 says:

After the first four games the Steelers were last in the league in passsing offense. How is that better?

  8. lbuckley says:

Good, hope it is. Bring Charlie Batch back.

  9. Russ says:

If you were so concerned, then maybe you shouldn’t have suspended him and he would have been in better football shape to endure the rigors of the game. Through your idiotic leadership and direction, you have now encouraged the goons of the NFL to go out and injure quarterbacks at will as they will only get a $25,000 fine and no suspension. That would be well worth it to the Jets when they play the Patriots to knock out Brady in order to win the game like the Raiders tried to do to Ben.

  10. GUNNZS says:

This will tell the story! If Ben can pull out this win all the na sayers will have to find something els to gripe about! love them haters!

  11. Baby Ben says:

Ok, so we should feel bad for Ben? He needs to grow up and just admit that he thinks he’s bigger than life. Motorcycle crash, girl after girl, etc. He also likes to drive by school buses in his housing plan at Washington’s landing because he doesn’t want to wait?????
Maybe Ray Lewis will just break that foot off and take him out once and for all.

  12. teddy says:

talking about ben ray lewis is the one who should be behind bars

  13. Sue says:

He might get fined for limping
