MERCER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A Harrisville woman is dead following a one-car crash in Butler County.

Officials say the accident happened on Route 8 in Mercer Township around 1 a.m. Sunday.

According to state police, 41-year-old Brenda Morrison’s car flipped and she was ejected from the vehicle.

State police say she was headed north when she lost control, the car traveled off the road, hit a dirt mound and then rolled twice before stopping.

Morrison was pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County Coroner.
