Cal U Student Dies In Off-Campus Crash

CALIFORNIA (KDKA) — A California University of Pennsylvania student was killed in a vehicle accident near campus.

Kaly Bilski, 19, of Belle Vernon, was pronounced dead at Mon Valley Hospital shortly after the crash.

Bilski’s car collided with a tri-axle truck when she made a left turn onto State Route 88 from Vulcan Village.

“When I first got there, I saw fire underneath the engine,” Ron Ingram, a witness, said.

“I started hollering for them to get an extinguisher because no one was noticing there was a fire going on.

“So we finally got that out and tried to get her extracted but it didn’t work,” Ingram added.

Firefighters removed Kaly’s body from the car with the Jaws of Life.
