Trinity Superintendent Returns To Work

WASHINGTON, Pa. (KDKA) -Trinity Superintendent Paul Kasunich is back on the job.

Kasunich was arrested on charges of assaulting his girlfriend last month and has been on paid administrative leave.

On Wednesday, the Trinity School Board released a statement saying they will continue to monitor the legal proceedings.

“In reaching its decision, the board took into consideration the serious nature of the allegations; the outstanding reputation of Dr. Kasunich; and the various options available to the board,” the release read. “In addition, the board had a candid discussion with Dr. Kasunich regarding the board’s expectations and concerns.”

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the incident with his girlfriend, Darlene Tartaglione, happened on Nov. 19.

Tartaglione claims Kasunich choked her and pushed her head through a bathroom wall.

This is absolutely outrageous behavior! Not only is he going to keep his job hes been on PAID LEAVE since the attack. He is touting this attack as self defense, im sorry but i have to wave the shenanigans broom on that statement. When is pushing a womans head through a wall self defense? Furthermore we have had districts on strike since the school year began complaining about their six figure salaries. Maybe if we didnt put woman beaters on paid leave these budget constraints wouldnt be an issue. Im just glad he is not shaping my kids school experience. “Hey kids! My names Dr Kasunich, Im a spousal abuser and a perjurer! Any questions?”
