Trinity Superintendent Returns To Work

WASHINGTON, Pa. (KDKA) -Trinity Superintendent Paul Kasunich is back on the job.

Kasunich was arrested on charges of assaulting his girlfriend last month and has been on paid administrative leave.

On Wednesday, the Trinity School Board released a statement saying they will continue to monitor the legal proceedings.

"In reaching its decision, the board took into consideration the serious nature of the allegations; the outstanding reputation of Dr. Kasunich; and the various options available to the board," the release read. "In addition, the board had a candid discussion with Dr. Kasunich regarding the board's expectations and concerns."

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the incident with his girlfriend, Darlene Tartaglione, happened on Nov. 19.

Tartaglione claims Kasunich choked her and pushed her head through a bathroom wall.
