Boy Discovered Wandering In Crafton Heights

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Officials are investigating after a child was found wandering on a street this afternoon in Crafton Heights.

The 4-year-old boy was discovered along Clairhaven Street.

A teacher from Shaffer Elementary going on her lunch break saw the boy and brought him into the school. Somebody inside recognized him and contacted the child’s family.

It turns out the boy’s mother is recovering from an accident. She took some pain medication and fell asleep.

The mother’s fiancée came to pick up the boy. A relative now has temporary custody of the boy.
