Homewood Man Killed In Overnight Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed overnight in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m. in the 7300-block of Hamilton Avenue near the Phase Bar.

Authorities say that when officers arrived on the scene they found a man lying on the ground.

The victim has been identified as 38-year-old Charles Speaks of Homewood.

According to investigators, he suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and died at the scene.

Police say no arrests have been made and a motive has not yet been determined.
