CECIL TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – State police are investigating a Friday night homicide in Washington County.

According to the Washington County Coroner’s Office, Cecil Township police were called to a domestic dispute on Papp Road around 11:55 p.m.

Officers forced their way into the home and found a male and female in the second floor bedroom.

The male was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment, while the female was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner’s office has now identified the woman as 40-year-old Brenda Dunkovich. Officials say she died of a stab wound.
