Security Increased At Mars Area High School

ADAMS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Officials at Mars Area High School are on alert after a security threat was reportedly made on Tuesday.

School officials canceled after-school activities for students on Tuesday and sent a letter home notifying parents of the reported threat.

After a security sweep at the high school early this morning, officials say nothing was found. Extra security is expected to be brought in as a precaution.

This is the last day of school before the start of winter break for the students.

School officials and Adams Township police are investigating.
