Jackson Twp. Officer To Face Charges

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A Jackson Township police officer is facing charges after police were called to his home for an alleged domestic dispute.

Officer Kenneth Bowland is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats and reckless endangerment.

Police say a woman at Bowland's home on Rapp Lane in Franklin Township, claimed he struck her in the head and stomach, causing her to vomit blood.

She also claims he put a gun to her face and threatened to shoot.

The 35-year-old Bowland has been on disability from the Jackson Township police for a couple of years.
