Beaver Co. Bartender Facing Rape Charges
AMBRIDGE (KDKA) - A local bartender is accused of raping a woman in a bar on Christmas night.
Police arrested 37-year-old James Sumpter. He works at the Firehouse Lounge in Ambridge.
Police say Sumpter deliberately served the woman alcohol even though she was visibly drunk.
Police also say Sumpter then raped the woman in the bar while she was unconscious.
There were no witnesses, but police say surveillance cameras captured the assault and the video will be used as evidence.
