Harrison, Polamalu, Pouncey Make Pro Bowl Team

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Three Pittsburgh Steelers are going to the Pro Bowl.

James Harrison, Troy Polamalu and Maurkice Pouncey have been selected for the AFC team.

It’s a huge honor for Pouncey. He’s the first Steelers rookie since Kendrell Bell in 2002 and the first rookie offensive lineman from the team since 1956 to make the Pro Bowl, according to the Steelers.

Harrison will make his fourth appearance as a starter and Polamalu is making his sixth appearance.

The Pro Bowl will take place Jan. 30, 2011 in Honolulu, Hawaii. The game will air on FOX.

No one cares about the probowl…and even less now that it’s before the super bowl. The best players, going into the SB won’t take a chance of getting hurt prior to the big game for a measily stint in hawaii. Its time has come and gone.

Amen. Being honored as an All Pro should be enough – except the league wants to make more money.

    2. Brad says:

The players who qualify for the superbowl will not compete in the pro bowl. This has been in place since they moved the all star game. Also, sir, your facts are again skewed it’s not in hawaii this year. The pro bowl is being played where ever the super bowl is.. So ya did you just make up those facts or is this your first year watching football

      1. CoolCatChris says:

it says right there that its in hawaii.

    3. Brad says:

You’re right they must have moved it recently.. It was scheduled to be at the same facility as the superbowl.. I stand corrected

The fact that James Farrior was not named to the Pro Bowl is a TRAGEDY!! Nobody has been more important to this defense (not even Troy who has been amazing) the #51. He calls the defense, he has played out of his mind. If there is anyone from this team that needs to be playing….it MUST be Farrior. I have spoken!

    1. Brad says:

Sorry steeler fan, farrior was at best the 3rd most important steeler on defense.. Troy was much more impactful this year and Timmons had a breakout year.. Over 120 tackles? Are you kidding me? Though James farrior is a class act and has his moments I’m afraid his days are about up.. Time to find a new inside linebacker unfortunately

    Way to Go Mr. Pouncey.

I agree ultimate steeler fan. If farrior were that easy to replace the steelers would’ve already left him go. #51 is the guy that really runs this D.
