Greensburg Mother Allegedly Left 2-Year-Old Home Alone

By Trina Orlando

GREENSBURG (KDKA) — Greensburg police are investigating why a mother left her young child home alone while she went to the store.

Neighbors called police to the Autumn Brook Apartments on Route 819 on Tuesday after seeing the two-year-old girl playing with trash in the hallway.

Police say the mother left the girl at home while she and her two-year-old son went to Walmart. Police say the hallway where the child was found was not heated.

Police anticipate filing charges against the mother, but for now the investigation continues.

what is wrong with people? How could a loving mother leave a helpless 2 yr. old child alone?? If children are such a burden to these people, please give these children up for adoption. They can not help the fact that they are unwanted. There are always people like me that will love and nuture these children. Please don’t abuse them…I ask that you give them up. Give them the chance for the loving home they deserve.
