Jamie Dixon Talks Pitt Hoops

Pitt Men's Basketball Head Coach Jamie Dixon joined John Seibel of Seibel and Starkey on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to discuss the Panthers recent win over UCONN, his expectations for the year and how he felt after the team lost to Tennessee earlier in the season.

Dixon said he felt they'd be a great rebounding team and they are, but the team hasn't reached his level of expectations on the defensive side of the ball.  When it came to guarding Kemba Walker of UCONN, Coach said his philosophy was to just shut down everyone else on the court since he didn't believe one player alone could beat them.

The players have had some time off for winter break after the UCONN game since they didn't get any leading up to the holiday and Dixon talked about what he has been up to since, which involves watching film on their next opponent Providence and scouting players.

Coach Dixon also talked about the development of Donte Taylor from his freshman year to this season in which he has taken on a much larger role.
