1 Dead After 2-Vehicle Crash In Scott Township

SCOTT TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – One person is dead after two cars collided Sunday in Scott Township.

The crash happened on Lindsay Road near Greentree Road.

Officials say at least one car slammed into a pole, trapping one person who was pulled from the wreckage. That person died at the hospital.

Authorities have identified the victim as 58-year-old Charles Dato.

The road was closed while crews worked to clear the scene, but it has since reopened.

    I know the guy. He was not drunk. Just talked to his wife, the doctor at the hospital said he probably had a massive heart attack and was dead before the accident ever happened. Citizen X – not everyone is a drunk. Sad things like this happen.
