HAZELWOOD (KDKA) — A local home was destroyed by fire.

Firefighters were called to the home on Flowers Avenue in Hazelwood just before 7 p.m. Tuesday.

A woman lives there with her daughter and granddaughter, but they were at a church meeting when the fire started.

The family had lived there for more than 20 years. Although no one was hurt, their dog died in the fire and their cat is missing.

There’s no word on how the fire started.
