Duquesne Beats St. Joe's 75-63
PHILADELPHIA (KDKA/AP) — Bill Clark and the Duquesne Dukes cruised to a 75-63 win over St. Joseph's Wednesday night.
Clark lead the team with 24 points, nine rebounds and two steals in 38 minutes. The Dukes (8-5, 1-0 Atlantic 10) also had three other players in double digit points. Senior forward Damian Saunders had 17 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots. Guards T.J. McConnell and B.J. Monteiro had 11 and 10 points respectively.
The Dukes win over St. Joe's extended their winning streak to three games and was the first win at St. Joe's since Feb. 15, 1992.
St. Joe's rallied in the second half to come back from a 26-point deficit, but they could not overcome 19 turnovers in losing for the seventh time in nine games.
The Hawks were led by Langston Galloway who had 20 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.
