Local Firefighter Facing Assault Charges
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A Pittsburgh firefighter was arrested Saturday and is now facing simple assault charges.
Thomas Baltos, 57, is a 32-year veteran of the fire bureau in Pittsburgh.
According to police, Baltos allegedly assaulted his wife at their Brighton Heights home.
Police say Baltos is also accused of resisting arrest, making terroristic threats and having a sword in his possession.
Baltos' wife was taken to a nearby hospital for her injuries.
He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
