New Pitt Football Head Coach Todd Graham Live On The FAN

New Pitt Football Head Coach Todd Graham joined the Seibel and Starkey Show on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN following his press conference to discuss what he’s looking to accomplish at Pitt.

Graham said if you told him two weeks ago that he’d be the head coach at Pitt he would have been surprised and that leaving Tulsa was one of the hardest things for him to do given the ties and connections he established there.

Coach Graham talked with the guys about his work ethic and passion that he’ll put forth to win over his players and the fans given all the uncertainty that they have been through lately.

Graham discussed the players that he has in front of him to play quarterback next year and said he obviously has seen the most of Tino Sunseri and considers him a winner and that his coaching staff will first and foremost adapt their system to the QB they have available to them.

Coach also said this is Pittsburgh, and that means you have to run the ball and play tough football, and what he’s bringing is the no-huddle offense to add to that, not the spread offense.

There are three highly touted underclassmen from Pitt that have declared themselves eligible for the NFL draft in WR Jon Baldwin, RB Dion Lewis, and FB Henry Hynoski, and Coach Graham said he’s hoping for an opportunity to talk with the three of them to try and convince them to stay because each player would be a great fit in his offense.

After the Todd Graham interview, we were also given an inpromptu call by Pitt WR Cam Saddler and RB Ray Graham who couldn’t wait to tell everyone how fired up they are about their new head coach and the offense that they’ll be running.

Good Luck coach Graham and family the worst part of the picture is Steve Pederson standing there with that car salesman smile, What aJerk.
PLEASE FIRE STEVE PEDERSON NOW !!!!!

  2. Mike22 says:

hey Bill that car salesman is a large reason why they were able to have the press conference at that wonderful so.side facility & why the basketball team is no.5 in the nation, playing in the beautiful petersen event ctr.which he also helped get built…did he make a mistake in hiring haywood? sure, but nothing was out there to indicate that would happen…be careful what you wish for!

    1. Bill says:

Mike this is a Bad guy he will stab you in the back faster than anyone. He is a power hungry snake oil salesman. All that you said in the above some may be true but there is way more bad than good with this guy. Oh ask the State of Nebraska

  3. BIll says:

Great Hire, Good Job Steve…I just wish you could have handled the resignation/firing of Wanny a little better. he deserved better. He was a great coach who put his heart into this program. I welcome the change especially in offensive philosophy…I just hope that Graham improves the defense.

  4. Bill says:

Graham could really become a legend if he brings back Penn State and the script Pitt logo…That is my wish (outside a Big East and National championship). Have faith Pitt fans

  5. Renew the Rivalry says:

Thanks for reminding me Bill. I wanted to ask people here if they thought hiring Tom Bradley would have helped the chances of a regularly scheduled Pitt/PennSt game. Or would the divide have grown?

  6. Bill says:

Its a crime that JoPa let the rivalry die…Hopefully, it will come back once he steps down…my best memories are of Pitt/PSU games…WVU doesn’t match the intensity of that rivalry…half of my friends were Penn State fans/ the other half were Pitt…made for good tailgating…I don’t see that with WVU…there fans are classless…

  7. Wurst Vargina says:

wvu fans are worse than classless. They are toothless, brainless, bathless, soberless, talentless, vacuumless, razorless…
