Steelers Sign Six Players To 2011 Contracts

Pittsburgh (KDKA/AP) - As the Steelers prepare for the Baltimore Ravens this Saturday, team officials are also getting ready for the 2011 season. They have signed six players to future contracts.

Those players include two linebackers, Mortty Ivy and Baraka Atkins.

Ivy played college ball at West Virginia and was cut by the Miami Dolphins. Atkins was cut by the Denver Broncos after Week 4.

They also signed back James Johnson, guard Kevin McCaskill, fullback-tight end Jamie McCoy and cornerback Donovan Warren.

Johnson, 26, was cut by the Green Bay Packers and has played in only four games in his career. McCoy, 23, is six-feet-two-inches tall and 240 pounds. He played college football at Texas A&M and was cut by the St. Louis Rams.

The players cannot practice with the Steelers until after the 2010 season ends.
