Fans Getting Ready For The Jets

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The Pittsburgh Steelers are headed to the AFC Championship Game after dropping the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday.

On Sunday, they learned they'd be hosting the Jets at Heinz Field after the Jets knocked off the New England Patriots 28-21.

The combination of the Steelers being one step away from the Super Bowl and having the AFC Championship Game at Heinz Field has fans pumped up.

However, the game against the Baltimore Ravens was an emotional rollercoaster for the team and the fans.

"Oh I was a nervous when the Steelers started to play. I was real, real nervous. I was jumping up and down, then things changed and I was glad," Giuseppe Gulli said.

In fact, the Steelers' second half dominance is something fans have grown to expect.

"We're known for that. We're the Steelers. After the first two quarters, we can be down after halftime, we always come back," Rhonda Ogunlesi said.

Some fans are pleased that the Jets took out the hated New England Patriots. However, others are already looking forward to seeing the Steelers ground the Jets on Sunday.

It will be the second meeting between the two teams this season. New York marched into Heinz Field in Week 15 and dropped the Steelers 22-17.

"I think the Steelers are going to take [them]. The Steelers don't allow teams to beat them twice, so that is an incentive to play," DeVoka Horton said.\

The game is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday and can be seen on KDKA-TV.
