Gas Leak Prompts Evacuations In Crafton

CRAFTON (KDKA) – A natural gas leak Tuesday evening led to evacuations in Crafton.

Officials say 30 homes were evacuated as a result of the leak near the corner of Clearview Avenue and Sterrett Street.

According to authorities, a crew with a water company hit the gas line, rupturing it just after 8:30 p.m.

The Red Cross is helping the families while those repairs are made.

It’s amazing how you can get such a simple story incorrect. What “Officials” told you homes were evacuated? I live 30 yards from there and nobody was evacuated. Maybe you should read this story instead
