Duquesne Extends Winning Streak To Seven

PHILADELPHIA (KDKA/AP) - The Duquesne Dukes extended their winning streak to seven with a 88-71 win over La Salle Wednesday night.

The Dukes (12-5) now have their first ever 4-0 start in the Atlantic-10 conference.

With the game tied up at 47 at halftime, the Dukes rallied in the second half and held La Salle to 24 points.

Forward Bill Clark led the Dukes with 21 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three blocks and four steals. He was also nine for nine from the line.

Duquesne got contributions from four other players in double digits. Damian Saunders had 16, T.J. McConnell and B.J. Monteiro scored 13 each and Sean Johnson added 10.

Duquesne had 17 steals in the game compared to just five from La Salle.

The Dukes next opponent will be against the (9-9) Charlotte 49ers on Saturday at home.
