WVU Backup Forward Walks Away During Game
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (KDKA/AP) - The West Virginia Mountaineers beat the University of South Florida 56-46 on Sunday, but they lost backup Dan Jennings.
Jennings, who was averaging 8.6 minutes per game this season, decided to walk away from the Mountaineer bench in the second half.
Coach Bob Huggins said his absence from the bench was "unexcused, inexcusable. Never to be seen again, I guess."
Jennings played at the forward position and was averaging two points and 2.5 rebounds in 14 games this season.
