NEW YORK (KDKA/AP) – Steeler Nation came out in force to watch their team win their eighth AFC title on Sunday.

Television ratings were released Monday for both conference title games.

The Steelers’ win over the Jets earned CBS a 28.3 rating and a 43 share. It is the highest rating since New England beat Jacksonville back in 1997.

The Cheeseheads were watching the Packers beat the Bears on Sunday earning FOX a 28.1 rating and a 50 share. The last time the NFC Championship Game earned those ratings was in 1997 when Brett Favre and the Packers beat the Carolina Panthers.

Ratings represent the percentage of all homes with televisions tuned into a program. Shares represent the percentage of all homes with televisions in use at the time.
