Temperatures Cold, But No Snow In Rally Forecast

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - It's a big day in Pittsburgh as fans will gather at Heinz Field tonight for a pep rally to send the Steelers off to Texas; so, many people heading over to the North Shore for the festivities might be wondering about the forecast.

KDKA meteorologist Dennis Bowman says the snow will diminish to flurries for the mid-day and afternoon hours, and that will leave us with overcast and dry conditions for the evening festivities.

The high today will be 32 degrees with evening temperatures in the 20s.

Bowman says the next disturbance we'll see move across the area arrives in the wee hours of Saturday morning. It will leave behind a coating of accumulation by daybreak.

A general inch or two inches can be expected by the time that round of snow ends in the early part of Saturday afternoon. The high on Saturday will reach 34 degrees.

As for Sunday, Bowman say it looks mostly cloudy and dry other than a stray flurry. The high for Sunday is expected to be 33 degrees.
