Child Found Wandering In Fayette Co.

REDSTONE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - A Fayette County mother is expected to be charged with endangering the welfare of a child after her two-year-old daughter wandered away from home twice in one day.

The girl left her home on Park Avenue in Redstone Township Sunday morning and was nearly hit by a car.

The driver of the car returned the child to her home.

Several hours later, the girl got out again and wandered into a neighbor's yard. She was found by a pizza delivery driver.

"[I] asked her where she was going. She was walking in the neighbors yard, she was cold, crying telling me she needed me to take her to a house. I took her to neighbor's house where I was making my delivery and told her to call the police," Adam Pinardi said.

The girl was wearing an unzipped jacket and untied boots. She was not hurt and is now in the custody of her grandparents.

The mother has been identified as Renee Wilczynski.
