PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Super Bowl XLV is only a few days away and the Pittsburgh Steelers began their trip to Dallas Monday morning.

The US Airways charter flight took off shortly after 9:30 a.m. and landed at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport around 12:30 p.m.

Two Terrible Towels hung in the cockpit as the players boarded the plane. Just before pulling away, the pilot opened the cockpit window and waved the towel.

Many of the players boarded the plane holding video cameras to document the occasion.

Hines Ward boarded the plane sporting a cowboy hat, boots and a Texas-sized belt buckle.

Several fans showed up at the airport to cheer on the Steelers. However, one Packers fan made his way into the group wearing his cheesehead and waving a Green Bay flag.

The stillers are a joke. The last two teams they met in the super bowel were Seattle and Arizona, both not so good teams. GB is a real team that is going to pound cheese in your stiller butts so you will have a use for those stupid terrible towels.

Last year, you’re right Arizona and Seattle were awful. But if you recall, those two Superbowls were played in 2005 and 2008. Not in 2011. My my what short term memory we have, you might want to have a doc check that out.
