Nike Donates $400K To Honor JoePa’s 400th Win

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (KDKA/AP) – Joe Paterno is in his fourth decade of coaching at Penn State. He achieved his 400th win this past season and now, Penn State is receiving $400,000 from Nike in honor of that milestone.

The Paternos have been supporters of the libraries. In fact, one of the school’s main libraries is named after the family.

The donation will help pay for renovations and technological upgrades according to Dean of Libraries, Barbara Dewey.

Over the course of Paterno’s career at Penn State, he and his wife, Sue, have donated more than $4 million in aid to libraries.
