Patrice King Brown Day Declared In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The city of Pittsburgh honored Patrice King Brown Tuesday morning following her retirement last week.

Tuesday was declared as Patrice King-Brown Day in Pittsburgh and KDKA's Harold Hayes accepted the award on her behalf.

Patrice worked at KDKA-TV for 33 years and delivered her final newscast Friday afternoon.

She graduated from West Virginia University and joined KDKA-TV in October 1978 as co-host of the award winning afternoon show, Pittsburgh 2Day.

Some of her most notable interviews included Jerry Lewis, Elizabeth Taylor, Tom Hanks, Robin Williams, Oprah and President Barack Obama.
