Pittsburgh Food Companies Flooded With Orders Ahead Of Super Sunday

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Steelers give a sense of community to Pittsburgh natives around the world and nothing offers a taste of home like a Super Bowl care package.

Lynne Szarnicki is a busy woman these days at her Polish Pierogi company in New Kensington, though she did enlist her fiancé to help out with all the orders.

Requests come in from all over the country.

She ordered Super Bowl shipping boxes before the AFC Championship game. Now that's faith.

Pennsylvania Macaroni in the Strip District is another business that booms when the Steelers are hot. They specialize in tailgate baskets.

Owner Rick Sunseri ships Pittsburgh favorites to every state, but Hawaii.

Another popular item are black and gold Eat 'N Park Smiley cookies.
