Analyst: ‘No Ill Intent’ By King

Pittsburgh (93-7 The FAN) – Sports Illustrated senior writer S.L. Price joined the Fan Morning Show to discuss the Peter King article about Roger Goodell.

Price said it isn’t too hard to sit on information like the Goodell quote, but it is probably harder since King has multiple outlets to get the information out there.

Price said it is unlike King to misquote a source and “there was no ill intent behind it.” He thinks the controversy will pass quickly because of the steps King took following the release of the article.

Price discusses the article he wrote in Sports Illustrated about football in the western Pennsylvania town of Aliquippa.

In my opinion, sensationalizing misquoted outdated information in a timely manor for personal gain is not the mark of a good reporter.
