Maurkice Pouncey Will Not Play In Super Bowl

FORT WORTH (KDKA) -- Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey will not play in the Super Bowl.

KDKA-TV's Bob Pompeani reports Pouncey did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday.

He had to get out there today to practice, but he couldn't make it happen.

Pouncey was off of his crutches and off of his boot, but it was too much pressure being applied to his injured ankle.

A high ankle sprain normally takes four to six weeks to heal.

Doug Legursky will get the start.
