Steelers Are Ready For Super Bowl Sunday
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – The FAN Morning Show’s Jim Colony caught up with several Steelers players after practice on Thursday.
He talked with Anthony Madison about the experience of being back in the Super Bowl.
Madison plays mainly on the special teams unit, but he’s also a backup to cornerback Bryant McFadden. He said he is preparing both physically and mentally as if he is starting..
McFadden tells Colony that his body feels much better after the two week break between the AFC Championship game and the Super Bowl.
McFadden previews what he and the Steelers’ secondary will face against the west coast offense of the Green Bay Packers.
Backup center Doug Legursky talks about how the veteran leadership in the Steelers locker room has helped prepare the team, especially the rookies for the biggest game of the year.
Legursky said he prepares for each game as if he is starting and doesn’t expect a drop-off in communication with the other linemen.
A big concern for many is the snap exchange between the center and quarterback. Legursky doesn’t expect it to be a problem come Sunday because he has received extra reps with the first team.
Colony has his final “In-Depth with Maurkice Pouncey” of the season and he gives us an update on his high ankle sprain.
Pouncey said if he practices on Friday, then he will play on Sunday.
