Snow Expected Overnight In Pittsburgh Area

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for several counties in southwestern Pennsylvania.

KDKA Chief Meteorologist Jeff Verszyla says as the atmosphere cools Monday night, temperatures will dip and the rain will turn to snow showers overnight.

"I think total accumulation – an inch, maybe two in some locations," he said.

In addition to snow, temperatures will remain in the teens.

"Factor in blustery winds, wind chill values will be down likely in the single digits," Jeff said.

The frigid temperatures are expected to stick around the rest of the week, but there will be some sunshine on Friday.
