PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A member of the Steelers’ coaching staff is moving to Arizona.

Ray Horton, the defensive backs coach, will become the defensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals, according to the Post-Gazette.

Horton has been with the Steelers since 2004.

Arizona head coach Ken Whisenhunt was the offensive coordinator for the Steelers under Bill Cowher.

Maybe this is the beginning to fixing the problem of the secondary.

If he’s been with the Steelers since ’04, then that’s about how long the secondary has sucked.

Good riddance, now let’s get the problem fixed!

Good. Hopefully Arians will follow, and we’ll draft some shut down corners!

    • Dave

Maybe Temple will take him back. What a crackerjack O coordinator!!!

  • Dave

Maybe he can take McFadden and Gay with him. We may have just solved a Root Cause problem without analysis. By the way, can we get or 5th rounder back Ken?? At this point in time it looks like we gave up Tone Holmes for nothing.

Neither of them could cover a midget with a king sized blanket.

  • Chris-Angie Goodwin

    Peace!

Well just read a piece about Tomlin probably maintaining all of his existing staff..WHICH means that Bruce Airhead more and likely will be here next year…Doesn’t Whisenhut need an OC also…PLEASE hire him as well…By the way,any thoughts as to who the next secondary coach will be????

The Cardinals are so pathetic, always raiding the Steeler’s staff and former players. Apparently, they’re not capable of developing their own talent.

Yes, but the Steelers are such a great organization (at least that’s what’s been shoved down our throats), why would anyone want to leave?

  • Will

    I agree with Sally!
