Thieves Damage Race Car In Greensburg

By: Trina Orlando

GREENSBURG (KDKA) – State Police are looking for the driver of a car they believe may be responsible for causing thousands of dollars of damage to a race car, and stealing thousands more in items from the vehicle.

The incident happened outside the Toyota Garage on Route 30, where Charles “Randy” Lingo parks his Acura.

The Acura has all the bells and whistles because he uses it for racing.

Sometime between Jan. 3-4 someone went onto the lot and stole $3,000 worth of items from the car. In the process, they also caused $3,000 in damage to the car.

Surveillance video shows the suspects pulling into the parking lot and driving around the building.

They are driving an older model Honda, most likely dark blue or black in color. It has white wheel wells and white fenders.

Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police in Greensburg.

Apparently everything gets put into the news?? In that case, my car was broken into and I had some stuff stolen from it too. The car didn’t have bells and whitsles but it did have a horn. Oh, and it wasn’t a race care but it was used a form of public transportation, as I did often drive it and gave rides to others, as well. A police report was filed.
